How the generator works
- Search your business. Start typing the name and city exactly as they appear on Google Maps.
- Pick the right listing. Check the address so you don't pick a business with a similar name.
- Copy your link. It opens Google's "Write a review" window for your business directly, with no searching or scrolling for the customer.
- Test it. Open the link on your phone. You should see your business name and the star selector.
Your link uses Google's official review address with your unique Place ID:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
The link doesn't change unless your Google listing is removed and recreated, so you can print it.
Can't find your business?
- New listing: a Business Profile can take a few days to appear in search after it's verified.
- Service-area business with a hidden address: search by business name only, without a city.
- Still missing: you can copy the official link from your own Business Profile instead. On a computer, open your Business Profile on Google, select Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link (Google Business Profile Help, "Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews"). Where to use your Google review link
| Channel | Where to put it | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Thank-you and follow-up emails, email signature | Send it within 24 hours of the visit, while the experience is fresh. | |
| SMS / WhatsApp | A short message after the appointment | Keep the message under 160 characters so the link is visible. |
| Receipts and invoices | Printed as a QR code, plus the short link | Add one line: "How did we do? Scan to review us on Google." |
| In store | Table tents, counter stands, review cards | How to make a review card → |
| Website | Footer or contact page button "Review us on Google" | Never hide it behind a rating question. |
Rules to follow when you share it
Google's review policy allows you to ask for reviews, but not in every way:
- Ask every customer, not only the happy ones. Google prohibits businesses from selectively soliciting positive reviews or discouraging negative ones (Google Maps user-contributed content policy). So does the US FTC: "Don't ask for reviews only from customers you think will leave positive ones."
- No incentives. Discounts, freebies or prize draws in exchange for a review are not allowed.
- Don't write reviews for customers or review your own business.
Get more reviews without asking one by one
A link is the first step. Scan And Review sends the review request for you after every visit by email or QR code, alerts you when a customer reports a problem, and replies to every new Google and Facebook review with AI in your tone of voice.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Google review link generator free?
Yes. You don't need an account, and there's no limit on how many links you create.
Does the link work on phones and computers?
Yes. On a phone it opens Google Maps or the browser review window; on a computer it opens the review dialog in Google Search. The customer needs to be signed in to a Google account to post.
What is a Place ID?
A unique ID that Google gives every place on Google Maps. The generator looks it up for you, so you never have to find it by hand.
Can I get a Google review link without access to the Business Profile?
Yes. The generator works for any public listing, so a marketing agency or a new employee can create the link without being a profile manager.
Will the link change?
Not under normal circumstances. If your listing is merged, removed or recreated, generate a new one.
